Jackie Ruland joined the organization as the Controller for the Verdugo entities in September of 2020. She is a financial professional with over 30 years of experience working in public accounting and private industry. She has an extensive financial and managerial background in accounting, financial and tax reporting, and business consulting.
Ms. Ruland is responsible for the accounting operations of the company including preparing periodic financial reports, maintaining the accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls, providing cash management and analysis, and overseeing all daily accounting functions and operations.
Before joining the organization, Ms. Ruland worked for a local public accounting firm as a Tax Manager serving clients in a variety of industries including oil and gas, agriculture, financial, health, and non-profit entities. Previous to public accounting, she was the Accounting Manager of the Financial Policies and Control section for a governmental contractor.
Ms. Ruland graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and the Panhandle Chapter of TSCPAs.
